Clio

Connect Clio to Reflekt Legal so your AI intake specialists can keep leads, matters, and contacts in sync. Reflekt Legal supports both Clio Grow (intake and client relationship management) and Clio Manage (practice and matter management).

Both integrations use a one-click OAuth flow. You simply log in to Reflekt Legal, start the connection, and accept the installation and requested permissions in Clio — no API keys or manual configuration required.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • An active Clio account with access to Clio Grow and/or Clio Manage.
  • Permission in Clio to authorize third-party app installations.
  • A Reflekt Legal account.

Connect Clio Grow

  1. Log in to your Reflekt Legal account.
  2. Navigate to Integrations.
  3. Find Clio Grow and click the OAuth (Connect) button.
  4. You will be redirected to Clio and prompted to accept the integration installation and review the permissions Reflekt Legal will use.
  5. Review the requested permissions and click Allow (or Accept) to approve the installation.

Once you approve, you will be redirected back to Reflekt Legal and the integration will be connected.

Connect Clio Manage

  1. Log in to your Reflekt Legal account.
  2. Navigate to Integrations.
  3. Find Clio Manage and click the OAuth (Connect) button.
  4. You will be redirected to Clio and prompted to accept the integration installation and review the permissions Reflekt Legal will use.
  5. Review the requested permissions and click Allow (or Accept) to approve the installation.

Once you approve, you will be redirected back to Reflekt Legal and the integration will be connected.

tip

If your firm uses both Clio Grow and Clio Manage, connect each one separately by repeating the steps above for the other product.

Reconnecting

Clio connections are authorized through OAuth, not an API key, so there is no ongoing password or key to keep valid — but the authorization itself can be revoked, and when it is, the integration stops working until someone reconnects it.

What a dropped connection looks like: leads, matters, or contacts stop syncing between Clio and Reflekt Legal, usually without anything in Clio itself flagging the problem. From the firm's side, the first sign is normally that new intakes are not appearing in Clio, or that updates made in Reflekt Legal are not showing up there.

What causes it:

  • The Clio user who authorized the connection revoked Reflekt Legal from their own App Integrations page. In Clio Manage this is the My Integrations tab under Personal settings; Clio Grow runs on a separate Clio system, so the screen may differ there. Either way revocation is per-user, so check with whoever originally connected the integration rather than looking in firm-wide settings.
  • Less commonly, the connection can be dropped from Clio's side for reasons Clio does not surface in the app. If nobody at your firm revoked access, reconnect using the steps below — it is safe to do at any time.

How to reconnect:

  1. Log in to your Reflekt Legal account. You will need a Clio login that is allowed to install and authorize third-party apps — in most firms an administrator, and in any case the same kind of login used for the original connection.
  2. Navigate to Integrations.
  3. Find Clio (this is the Clio Manage connection) or Clio Grow and click Connect. If you are not sure which one dropped, reconnect both — re-authorizing an already-working connection is safe.
  4. You will be redirected to Clio and prompted to log in and accept the installation and requested permissions again.
  5. Review the requested permissions and click Allow (or Accept).

Once you approve, you will be redirected back to Reflekt Legal and the integration will be reconnected. If your firm uses both Clio Grow and Clio Manage, repeat the steps for each one.
