Google Voice

Use Google Voice linked numbers and, if needed, custom forwarding rules to route inbound calls to your Reflekt Legal assistant number.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

• Your Reflekt Legal assistant number
• Access to the Google account that manages your Google Voice number
• A computer available for setup if you want to manage custom forwarding rules
• A forwarding setup that preserves the original caller's number in caller ID

Caller ID Requirement

When you test Google Voice forwarding, confirm the forwarded call shows the original caller's number to Reflekt Legal.

Set Up Forwarding

1. On a computer, sign in at voice.google.com.
2. Open Settings.
3. Under Linked numbers, add and verify your Reflekt Legal assistant number.
4. Turn on that linked number for incoming calls.
5. If you only want certain callers routed to Reflekt Legal, configure Custom call forwarding rules.

tip

Google Voice custom forwarding rules are easiest to create and manage from desktop.

Test Your Setup

1. Call your Google Voice number.
2. Confirm the assistant number rings as expected.
3. Confirm the forwarded call includes the original caller's phone number in caller ID.
4. If you created custom rules, test both matching and non-matching callers.
